Edges
One fragment preserves part of a braided edge applied ex novo to the fabric by means of overcast stitching. The edge runs parallel to the weft system and may have been intended to replace the original margin of the textile
Fleece analysis
The fibres have an average diameter of 22 μm (min. 13 – max. 28 μm). Where observable, the scales show prominent edges.
