Fleece analysis
The fibres, with an average diameter of 25 μm (min. 18–max. 40 μm), show an altered surface morphology. Where preserved, the scales display prominent edges with smooth margins. In the sample, elements with a diameter greater than 20 μm show the disappearance of the central medulla.
