Description
The fragment is preserved in multiple overlapping layers of different fabrics. The 2/2 twill weave is predominantly observed; only a small portion of a half-basket weave is visible. No structural connection between the two textiles can be determined.

Fleece analysis
The fibres show an altered morphology and the disappearance of cuticular scales. The fibres have an average diameter of 25 μm (min. 21 – max. 40 μm). In the sample, elements with a diameter greater than 30 μm show the disappearance of the central medulla.
