Description
Straight hem or seam, c.180mm long (fig 00): structure not clear: seems to be folded over to both sides, ie extra binding added? but more likely to be seamed to another web; more prominent on Side B (= Side B on 059/001), but any extra textile attached on Side A.
Short hem or seam, c.55mm long: same structure as straight hem/seam above; main roll (c.0.8mm wide, 0.4mm thick) on Side B; traces of sewing in very dark brown hairy thread, S-ply from 2 Z-spun yarns, as in 059/001 (shown in red). The two hems or seams are at an acute angle to one another.
