Description
Inserted as patch into hole in diamond twill 025/001 + 025/004, to which it is seamed on all 4 sides. Hole roughly same size as patch. Raw edges of 025/001 and 025/002 turned up on reverse (fig 00b, d) and roughly but tightly oversewn in light-brown thread (1-1.2mm thick), 2-ply, S-plied from 2 medium-weak Z-spun yarns (in red on figs 00a, b), leaving a raised roll on back but smooth obverse/front of cloth.
