Description (1) (shown as red in fig 00) edge stitches: 2-ply (diam. 0.9mm), hard S-plied from Z-spun yarn, pale/medium brown. Stitches using a pair of plied threads worked S-direction over raw edges of 024/001 and 024/002 laid one upon the other. Stitches c.8mm apart, of varying length, not neat; (2) (shown as blue) stitches on adjacent edge securing 024/001 to 024/002: weak Z-spun coarse ‘twiggy’ dark brown yarn, heavily worn on reverse of assemblage, partly torn away on obverse.
