Borders
Knotted border: outer thread is Z plied, 2 ply, S twisted flax. Adjacent shot is a pair, thereafter 1/1. System 1 is grouped into fours,
perhaps not twisted together.
The fours are then clasped in a complex knot (see drawing) by the Z plied outer thread, which is the anchoring thread. The raw ends of the 4 grouped Wa threads are visible on the outer edge of the knot.
