Qasr Ibrim

Qasr Ibrim (Latin, Primis) is a settlement in Lower Nubia, modern Egypt. It was inhabited from the 8th century BCE to the 19th century CE. The textiles from Qasr Ibrim listed in the RTDB date from all phases of its occupation. In antiquity, it was a city on a cliff above the Nile. Construction of the Aswan Dam in the 1960s submerged much of the site and turned the remainder into an island.
