FURTHER DETAILS
Edges
Selvedge built around 2 bundles of warp, using the next single warp of the ground weave sometimes as part of the structure. Outer bundle of 3 warp threads, inner of two.
Other features
Second bundle appears thicker on surface because weft floats round it and the warp thread acting as a third bundle. At least two instances noted where new weft is held parallel to warp in 2nd bundle, then becomes weft. New weft fed in by this method?
