FURTHER DETAILS
Edges
Selvedge built on 3 warp bundles. Outer 2 of 3 medium/hard S spun yarns, inner of 2 (sic) medium S spun yarns. Ground weft enters and exits 1/1 in successive weft passages, where it is accompanied by the paired wrapping yarn. Paired wrapping yarn seems to make additional passages between entry/exit of ground weft, but this is not in fact the case, because 3 yarns appear to be working consistently together throughout the selvedge i.e. one pair + one ground weft.)
Other features
In all c. 65 mm + 50 mm + 35 mm. Widths of selvedges 6-7 mm
Warp in bundles. Strands of weft survive.
Notes from the original description
Supplementary yarn has weak-medium twist.
