Sewing
Description
Sewn edge: Two interlocked lines of overcast stitches run along one raw edge for c.6cm. Thread (1), the same shade of brown as the main web, is 2-ply, S-plied from Z-spun yarns. Thread (2), a dark chocolate brown, is 2-ply, S-plied from weak Z-spun yarns. The stitching is fairly coarse, but the purpose of the work was presumably decorative.
