Sewing
Description
Hem: The two short axis ends of the strip have been turned back twice and hemmed, but the hems are very badly -preserved and it is not possible to be sure of the type of stitch used . On the long axis several loose stitches suggest that this fabric may once have been attached to another. The sewing yarn is dark brown wool, c. 1 mm thick, 2-ply, S-plied from weak Z-spun yarns (MLR c, hairy medium, naturally pigmented).
