Sewing
Description
1. simple rent c.60mm long, closed and oversewn in 2-ply thread (diam. c.1mm), S-plied from two medium-weak Z-spun yarns; 6 stitches survive, worked S;
2. hem down one long side, folded over twice (fig 00) (max.l. 320mm, width 9mm, 3mm thick), stitched in S-direction on back in thread S- plied from 2 medium-weak Z-spun yarns; stitches rough and of irregular length and intervals;
3. raw edge between patch 025/002 and hem end simply oversewn in same plied thread as for hem
4. edge on long side opposite hem left raw, but sewn to 025/003 and 025/005 (vide infra)
5. edge adjacent to rent raw and frayed
