Held together by twined rows. c.7-8 bare 'warp' between rows.
'Warp' is stripped flax fibre bundles in ribbons, with no twist.
System 2: S twisted bundles c.1.5mm diam. of fine fibre ribbons, worked Z around system 1 (see drawing).
