						Notes from the original description
Fibre: the flax yarns are spliced and fine, but varied in diameter from 0.2-0.6mm. the supporting cord is made of two plies, one of brown, the other undyed cotton yarns, see drawing for details. they are somehow knotted to the loop of flax. the waist of the tassel is ornamentally wrapped with 3 rows of brown ply top and bottom and fastened tight in the middle with a hard z plied cord of undyed cotton, which projects both sideways from the waist and downwards from the tassel.
