Sewing
Description
Embroidery. Scorpion worked in outline with 2 ply, Z plied S single blue cotton thread c.1mm thick. Blue fading differentially, especially on the front. Stitching all in 2 strand interlocking running stitch, worked slightly Z. Down centre of tail, a line of interlocked running stitches in single undyed S single yarn.
On the front there are 5 'bars' across the body. On reverse, bars run zig-zag and there is a length of loose yarn 60mm long which may have been the missing 6th bar on the front. Knots in places. See drawing on acetate.
