Other features
A single decorative unit consists of: 2 weft bundles/2 shots single weft/2 weft bundles.
Counting ground weave: decorative unit/18 single weft/decorative unit/17/dec. unit/32/dec. unit/19/dec. unit/3+
Most of the looped pile is worn off, but occasional complete loops survive 3mm high. Loops are pulled up over warp threads, possibly leaving 3 warps between
each loop, but too damaged to be sure. Each loop is formed from a single weft yarn of some, but not all, paired wefts in the decorative unit (See scheme in drawing).
Notes from the original description
Some spliced yarns in both systems.
