FURTHER DETAILS
Borders
Complex fringe fragments. Failed to draft elaborate fringe structure, but based on warp strands, apparently without any supplementary thread to anchor. Just before the
fringe there are weft pairs. Counting back from fringe: 2 pairs/3 singles/8 pairs, then 1/1 tabby.
Warp seems to be plaited as a 3 strand plait immediately after exiting from the last weft pair. Warp is then twisted around itself in the opposite direction in a complicated interlace, then exits to form the loose fringe proper, which is at least 45mm long. [cf 0108? (F)]
Notes from the original description
Some spliced yarns in both systems.
