Description
Large lump of goat-hair fabric. 1: S ply string from 6 strands of Z plied 2 ply from 2 S spun yarns. The Z plied ply looks exactly like the standard goat-hair matting yarns. 2: Another possible yarn system contains strands made from 2 Z plied plies, each of 2 S spun yarns, as standard matting yarn. (The above appear to be the yarn systems of a piece of very resilient matting. - This may be wrong.) Part of the lump appears to be the same goat-hair matting as 94.073, folded over and sewn through with yarn or string 2 above. The function of string 1 remains obscure. There are traces of extra stitches in a Z ply, holding the folded matting together - yellow cotton.
