Pondera RO045 pyramidal loom weight

Catalogue number Pondera RO045 Inventory number IG24392 Holding institution Adria, Museo Archeologico Nazionale Description Pyramidal truncated weight made of semi-fine beige clay, rich in tiny black inclusions and large white inclusions. The weight is broken in several places. All measurements therefore indicate the preserved dimensions. In the fracture corresponding to a lateral edge, a regular ovoid groove can be seen, as if it had been specially shaped to accommodate something ovoid.
