Pondera RO041 pyramidal loom weight

Catalogue number Pondera RO041 Inventory number IG24049 Holding institution Adria, Museo Archeologico Nazionale Description Pyramidal truncated weight, made of semi-fine clay rich in tiny black calcite and mica inclusions. It is broken, with one side and the lower base completely missing. A regular ovoid groove can be seen on both the side and the lower base of the fracture, as if it had been specially shaped to accommodate something ovoid.
