Description
Clay whorl, light orange-beige clay, refined. Coated with a very opaque black varnish, tending towards reddish, diluted and not very tenacious, now almost completely removed, visible only on the lower surface. Bitruncated conical body, very flattened at the bottom. Wheel-shaped. The hole is filled with compact, yellow-beige material (fire earth?). Part of grave goods from TOMB 198.

Remarks
The material is not dated, nor is that from the same context. It is a cremation tomb whose grave goods include, among other items, a cup and a black-glazed pelike. ROMANIZATION or PRE-ROMAN? - The minimum diameter corresponds to the diameter of the upper base. - It should be noted that the ceramic mix and coating, as well as the morphology, are entirely similar to specimen RO014, IG 12822, from the same tomb.
