Fleece analysis
The fibres, with an average diameter of 22 μm (min. 11–max. 40 μm), show an altered surface morphology. In the sample, most of the larger-diameter elements display the disappearance of the central medulla, while in two cases, smaller elements measuring 13 and 16 μm also show this phenomenon, resulting in the microtube formation.
The 40 μm diameter is an isolated value.
