VIN 73-75 005 Wool warp-faced tabby, z/z
Catalogue number
VIN 73-75 005
Inventory number
15, 12
Description
Two sections of plain-weave girdle, both with two selvedges intact.
A count of the total warp-threads in the girdle is not possible; but the minimum number is 150, possibly plus 10. The closer packing of the warp against the selvedges may be a result of tension while the girdle was in use. The yarns are well spun with few extra-thick ones.
