Other features
The wrapping is done in pairs of Z plied 2 ply S spun yarns, some undyed, some blue. Some of warp of ground weave was probably blue. Some strands of the lattice, before wrapping, are blue, some undyed. The strands that make up the lattice seem each to contain a Z twisted pair of undyed and of blue ?warp yarns.
The supplementary wrapping is in pairs of blue and undyed Z plied 2 ply. Exact scheme uncertain. The centre of each large blue diamond is wrapped in undyed plies (see scheme). The blue yarns are visible as broken ends in the warp of the missing ground weave. Did the ground weave have alternate blue warps? Max. length of openwork 35mm.
