The fragments preserve part of a fabric Repp edge, composed of pairs of threads completely covered by the single threads of the opposite system (2:1 ratio, 8 × 43 threads per cm). The single threads are of smaller diameter (0.25–0.33 mm). Due to the fragmentary condition of the fabric, it is impossible to determine whether this is a selvedge or the starting border.
