Description
The fragment shows areas at an advanced stage of carbonization, where the fabric appears hardened and compact. The textile is folded into approximately ten superimposed layers. On the surface, groups of fringes with a slight S-twist are visible. Beneath the tabby weave, multiple layers of textile in 1:2 half-basket weave are preserved. Any connection between the two textiles cannot be determined.
